700 South Utility Corridor
This was a UDOT local government project with Ogden City that widened and reconstructed 7th Street from Adams Ave. to Liberty Ave. Barry Worked at another firm while performing these services. Barry was the project engineer responsible for all roadway drainage. Barry’s work included storm water hydraulic modeling of the corridor and design and preparation of construction plans and specifications. Storm drain infrastructure installed included 717 linear feet of 18-inch storm drain pipe and 30 drainage structures up to 7 feet deep. As part of a roadway enhancement project for Salt Lake City a new storm drain system was required. The corridor followed along 500/700 South from 2200 West to 5600 West in a manufacturing and industrial area of the City. Any existing system was intermittent and disconnected, while the majority of the corridor didn’t have a usable system. Barry worked at another firm while performing services on this project. Barry’s was the project engineer responsible for the drainage system and his work on the project included a corridor drainage master plan, modeling, design and preparation of construction documents. Storm drain infrastructure costs totaled $1.48 million and included 148 drainage structures and 13,490 linear feet of storm drain piping ranging from 12-inches to 36-inches in diameter.
