A Sculptural Garden
The project is named after the dog bone shaped area which connects and aligns the fire pit to a sculpture garden. The sculpture garden is inspired by wood henge a stone age archaeological site predating stone henge. Several Silvered aspen trunks surround a circular decomposed granite path with a Cube Light Box at center stage. Holes in the steel box direct pointed lights all around at night much like a children’s starlight box, the effect is stunning. The initial goals of this landscape project was to decrease turf grass and watering expense. Which was accomplished by reducing the turf by 60% and incorporating water wise plantings and native meadow areas.
